MEMOIR
The first two of these essays were written for publication in a book by a University of Massachusetts colleague, Patricia Silver, who died before the book could be completed. Silver was the daughter of a West Virginia coal miner, and her book focused on academics whose fathers were miners. I'll be adding to this series in the neaar future.
